Companion Documents 
ASK’s companion documents are designed to clarify
information and instructions in the ANSI Implementation
Guides. The companion documents will provide useful
information to both trading partners and their software
vendors.
Trading Partners (including providers, clinics, hospitals,
billing services, etc.) will find helpful information
regarding specific information needed by ASK or one
of the payers they represent. Vendors should use the
Companion Documents in conjunction with the ANSI Implementation
Guides in completing their programming.
