General Announcements:

• The next system deployment is scheduled for Sunday May 18, 2008.
• System Availability - Trading Partners will not be able to access the EDI system from 6:00PM CT through 9:00PM CT on 5/22/08 in preparation for NPI Implementation

Telecommunication Issues:

• None to report

NPI

• The following warning edits will become Rejects as of 5/23/08:

            E010A – Billing Provider NPI Required No NPI Submitted – Begin                           Submitting Immediately
            E010B – Rendering Providere NPI Required No NPI Submitted – Begin                           Submitting Immediately
            H104 – Rendering NPI not tied to TP number
            H105 – Rendering NPI – EDI Authentication Failed

            New Warning edits will be implemented on 5/23/08:
            H001 – Do not use Legacy Billing Prov# after 5/23/08
            H002 – Do not use Legacy Rendering Prov# after 5/23/08

**Regardless of the extension that is currently being considered on NPI implementation, HealthNow will proceed with the requirement of NPI on all claims beginning 5/23/08

837 Issues

• Nothing new to report.

 

835 Issues

• HealthNow began passing the NPI in the remit file on 4/15/08.  None of the vendors on the call had any issues to report.  The legacy number is also being passed.
• The legacy number will be dropped from the 835 on 5/23/08.
