General Announcements:
None to report
Telecommunication Issues:
- As of July 1, 2007, the Asynchronous connection will be discontinued. The Zmodem, Xmodem and Ymodem protocols are older technology. If a hardware failure should occur, there is no guarantee repairs could be made. Letters were sent to all trading partners the week of April 30 regarding this information.
****Input from Vendors Requested***
EDI has received requests from clients that use the ASK web site for electronic transactions, for the ability to download multiple files and file types at the same time. EDI has reviewed options that include a filter that would allow the user to pick and choose files. In order to accomplish this, EDI would ZIP files to be downloaded. Once downloaded the user would need a method to UNZIP the files.
Question – Will this cause any challenges for you or your clients? Please submit your email response to Marcia.Henderson@ask-edi.com.
