NEW EDITS

New NPI Edits: All BCBSKS, HealthNow, BCBSWNY and BSNENY claims received electronically will edit for an occurrence of an NPI number. If no NPI number is present, the submitter will receive a Warning on the Claims Confirmation Report. These claims do not need to be resubmitted and will be sent to the payer. This edit is to remind providers/submitters that their claims will be rejected after 5/22/07 if no NPI number is present on the claim.

EDITS:

E010A - No NPI submitted, claim will reject after 5/22/07. (Billing Provider Level)
E010B - No NPI submitted, claim will reject after 5/22/07. (Rendering Provider level if Rendering Provider loop is present)

Additional new NPI edits for BCBSKS only:
B258B - Line Rendering NPI can not = Claim Rendering NPI
B344B - 2310B Rendering Provider loop required with Billing Provider #
