EDI Midwest for 5010
EDI Midwest will begin allowing trading partners to move to production for HIPAA 5010 on January 3, 2012. ASK will provide file and claim acknowledgement through the 277CA and 999 Acknowledgements. Payer level acknowledgements will be available through the Emdeon on-line payer portal, https://access.emdeon.com/CIHS/

To begin using the Emdeon payer portal, EDI Midwest users will need to register at www.emdeon.com/signup. A Username and Password will be provided by Emdeon within 3 business days of the registration. Webinars and tutorials are also available through Emdeon as listed below. The Emdeon payer portal is available now to all EDI Midwest users.
Support for the Emdeon payer portal will be available through Emdeon. ASK will not be able to provide assistance with the Emdeon website.

Emdeon is not able to provide a 277CA at this time; however other options are available on the payer portal for claims acknowledgment. A 277CA option should be available soon. Trading partners will be informed through an email notification when the 277CA option is available.
