About Us

Administrative Services of Kansas, conducting business as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (dba) ASK, was formed in 1982, and charged with developing a network to collect electronic claims.

Since its inception, ASK has expanded its services to include electronic remittance notices, electronic acknowledgements, member eligibility and benefit information, claim history, and electronic pre-certification and referrals.  Several payers have also been added, including  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, PHP, HealthNow New York, Inc., and commercial payers through our EDI Midwest Clearinghouse.
